The Skyrim Patch Doesn’t Work

Skyrim Glitch: Character has no face

The patch released this week to fix Skyrim’s lag issues on the PS3 doesn’t work.  The  patch was intended to fix problems users were having with the game when gamesave data reached about 4-5 MB.  The framerate issues are delayed, and the game does perform better than before for the first hour or two, but after playing for a few hours, the lag issues remain.   Other gamers are reporting that they are still experiencing the problem as well.  There is no word yet from Bethesda regarding the remaining issue.

On the hilarious side of the news, many have reported seeing old dragons performing new tricks!

Skyrim Patch Hits North America

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

The Skyrim patch for has hit North America.  This patch is mainly in response to issues that Playstation users have been reporting after game save data hits about 4MB.  Other fixes include glitch corrections with NPCs and in game enemies across all consoles, texture issues for the Xbox 360, and control issues for PC users.  For full details on the patch click here.

PSN Minus Sharing Equals Frowny Face

As of Nov. 18th, sharing content downloaded on the Playstation network for the PS3 and the PSP will be limited to two devices per user.  This will limit the amount of content that people can share without each individual having to pay.  Now, users will have to activate their devices over a computer, much like netflix.  This is a bummer for gamers but means more dough for Sony.
