EA’s DEAD SPACE 3 Almost Cancelled, Changed to FPS
With weak sales of EA’s Dead Space 2, this survival-horror almost disappeared. According to Kotaku, EA was unhappy with their sequel and nearly cancelled the franchise’s next installment, even considering moving Dead Space to a fight sim.
However, they have decided to go forward with Dead Space 3, but it will be losing its familiar third-person look. According to rumors, EA is copying the success of Call of Duty, Battlefield, and others and making the survival horror a first-person shooter.
This isn’t all bad, considering the success of the original BioShock, another FPS.
