MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE THE GAME Launch Media

A new Mission: Impossible gets closer to release, and Facebook gets a new social game.

In M:I The Game (screen shots), players create a super spy, research new equipment, and build a team of spies.

The game features 8 stories, 200 missions, and 50 global locations.

This translates to another social game. Set up much like a Zynga game, developer Funtactix tasks players with recruiting friends to move on. If players do not have friends, they can pay real money to buy place fillers or resources.

Social games are good, but when gameplay is sacrificed, these games are evil. The best micro-transaction social games should be modeled after MMOs, allowing players to work together by choice and getting rewards for using the social elements.

Paramount Pictures will be using M:I The Game as a portal for several contests and giveaways, like free tickets, posters, or Blu-ray sets.
